The SCience ICe EXercise (SCICEX) website has been improved to increase
awareness of the program. The website is available at:
http://nsidc.org/scicex.
SCICEX is a federal interagency collaboration among the U.S. Navy,
research agencies, and the marine research community to use
nuclear-powered submarines for investigations of Arctic Ocean
conditions. New additions to the site include science meeting notes and
presentations, history and background of the program, scientific
publications, and a photo gallery. Links to data access locations is
still available and data include sea ice thickness, bathymetry,
hydrography, and water chemistry and biology measurements of the Arctic
Ocean.
