The Arctic Resilience Report (ARR) invites nominations for the
Assessment Integration Team (AIT) from the scientific community.

The ARR is a new Arctic Council project that aims to analyze the
resilience of linked human and environmental systems in the Arctic. It
includes identifying the potential for shocks and large shifts in
ecosystems services that affect human well-being in the Arctic,
analyzing how different drivers of change interact in ways that affect
the ability to withstand shocks, and evaluating strategies for
adaptation and transformation in the face of rapid change. The project
is led by the Stockholm Resilience Centre and the Stockholm Environment
Institute. It will also have a Project Steering Committee (PSC) with
formal representation from the Arctic Council and collaborating
organizations, and an Assessment Integration Team (AIT) that is
responsible for the scientific content of the project.

The AIT is the core group of experts who will lead the writing of
overall project outputs, including an interim report in 2013 and a final
report in 2015. The AIT is responsible for the scientific content of the
project and for ensuring integration of knowledge across project
components and report chapters. The AIT will consist of experts who
represent a broad range of expertise that is relevant to a resilience
assessment with pan-arctic geographical coverage. AIT members should be
able to make a substantial time commitment to the process.
Self-nominations are welcome.

For each nomination for the AIT, please provide a half-page description
of relevant scientific/expert qualification, a comment about potential
role, and a note about national support for the participation (including
financial support). In addition to these formal nominations, suggestions
of experts who should be involved in the assessment in other capacities,
such as contributing author or reviewer, are also welcome. Nominations
and suggestions should be sent to ARR project leader Annika Nilsson
(annika.nilsson [at] sei-international.org) as soon as possible.

Nomination deadline: Friday, 10 February 2012.
