The Research Activities Committee of the Association of Polar Early
Career Scientists (APECS) is highlighting Social Sciences in the month
of June. A new APECS webpage entitled 'Human and Social Systems' has
been developed, and can be accessed at:
http://www.apecs.is/research-fields/social-sciences.
The website will be updated frequently, with information on the
activities of APECS social sciences members, available mentors, and how
to find out more about polar social sciences. APECS will also have
various activities scheduled, including a Virtual Poster Session
showcasing some of the research projects APECS members are working on,
and a Career Development Workshop in connection with the 7th
International Congress of Arctic Social Sciences in Akureyri, Iceland.
If you are an early career researcher conducting research in a field
related to social sciences, APECS encourages you to:
- Post a brief update on your research, including pictures or videos
to the Social Sciences Bulletin Board;
- Send links or citations for your recent publications;
- Join the Social Sciences mailing list; and
- Send information on your research blog or website, so APECS can
link to it and allow others to follow your efforts.
