A Town Hall entitled "The Study of Environmental Arctic Change (SEARCH):
Current Activities and Community Input on Future Directions" will be
held in conjunction with the 2010 American Geophysical Union (AGU) Fall
Meeting in San Francisco, California. The Town Hall is scheduled for
Thursday, 16 December 2010 from 12:30-1:30 p.m. Pacific Standard Time in
Moscone West, Room 3004. Light refreshments will be served.
The Study of Environmental Arctic Change (SEARCH) is a multi-agency
effort to understand system-scale arctic change
(http://www.arcus.org/search/). As SEARCH is entering the next phase of
implementation, this is an opportune time for broad community input and
involvement with the program.
This Town Hall will provide a forum for open exchange on SEARCH
activities and future priorities. Specific topics to be discussed
include: SEARCH vision and mission, the Arctic Observing Network, and
the Sea Ice Outlook project.
Members of the arctic science, education, and policy communities are
invited to attend. We particularly encourage students and young
investigators to participate.
