Ship-based Science Technical Support in the Arctic

The National Science Foundation (NSF) issued a solicitation, "Ship-based
Science Technical Support in the Arctic," for proposals to provide
science technical support on the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) icebreakers
Healy and the Polar Class icebreakers Polar Sea and Polar Star as
needed. This solicitation is available on the NSF website at:

NSF is offering an information session on Tuesday, 21 September 2010 at
2:00 p.m. EDT. This information session will use WebEx meeting software
to show slides while discussion takes place via teleconference. The
agenda is as follows:
- Presentation by NSF about the solicitation
- Question & Answer by participants in the information session
Representatives from NSF and USCG will be available to answer questions
until approximately 3:00 p.m. EDT.
The due date for proposals to this solicitation is 8 November 2010. The
solicitation is expected to result in one award as a cooperative
agreement to provide science technical support augmenting the support
provided by USCG.
