The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service seeks two candidates for the position
of Summer Heritage Researcher in the Tetlin Refuge near Tok, Alaska. The
research will last from late-May through mid-August 2009.
Responsibilities include assisting in archaeological excavation and
survey in the region and conducting directed ethnographic and
ethnohistoric inquiries. Selected candidates will also be working with
Fish and Game Archaeologist Debbie Corbett, which will include a week of
assistance on a community archaeology project on the Kenai Peninsula.
Tetlin Refuge will provide local transportation and field subsistence
costs.
