Organizers of the session, " The Changing Geographies of the Arctic
Region," to be convened at the Association of American Geographers (AAG)
2009 annual meeting, announce a call for papers. The meeting will be
held in Las Vegas, Nevada, 22-27 March 2009.
The arctic region is currently undergoing rapid economic, political,
environmental, and climatic change. There is a growing interest in the
Arctic among both geographers and the general public. This session
invites papers examining any aspect of change in the human, physical,
cultural, or environmental geography of this region. The 2009 AAG comes
near the end of the International Polar Year (IPY) and provides an
opportunity to present results from fieldwork undertaken during that
time.
To submit an abstract, please click on "2009 Annual Meeting" at the AAG
