The Northern Research Network facilitates dialogue among researchers
conducting work on the circumpolar North in the humanities and social
sciences. The network is a vehicle for building professional
relationships, communicating funding and conference news, sharing
resources, and disseminating information on fieldwork and academic
writing. The website includes a host of interactive features designed to
the serve the specific needs of northern researchers, including personal
blogs, forum discussions, detailed member profiles, and a collection of
bibliographies, course syllabi, and recent book reviews. As a meeting
place for scholars, professionals, and graduate students, the network
draws on the collective experience of its members to build new academic
relationships and foster collaboration across disciplinary lines.
