NOAA National Weather Service, Arctic Region Supercomputing Center,
College of Natural Science and Mathematics, Geophysical Institute, and
International Arctic Research Center invite abstracts for 20-30 minute
presentations at the Little Alaska Weather Symposium (LAWS), to be held
12-13 May 2008, in Fairbanks, Alaska.
The symposium will provide a forum for the exchange of operational and
research information related to weather in the Alaska environment.
Primary topics will include:
- operational forecasting and observational sources in Alaska;
- polar aspects of weather; and
- reanalysis and data assimilation.
The deadline for one-paragraph abstracts is Tuesday, 4 March 2008. All
abstracts must be submitted through the website:

Registration is required no later than 30 April 2008. There is no
registration fee.
