The Department of Biological Sciences at University of Toronto
Scarborough invites applications for a tenure-track position at the
assistant professor level in community ecology. The department is
particularly interested in applicants with a strong field-based research
program. The successful candidate will join a group whose research
strengths include macroecology, macroevolution, biogeography, and the
dynamics of environmental change, and will be expected to take an active
role in both graduate and undergraduate teaching.
Applicants should submit a complete vita (including separate statements
of research and teaching interests) and copies of recent reprints and
also arrange to have three letters of recommendation (including comments
on research, publications, and teaching) sent by referees. All materials

The closing date for applications is 1 October 2007. The position will
be effective 1 July 2008. Salary will be commensurate with
qualifications and experience. All qualified candidates are encouraged
