The VI Annual Finnish Russian Studies Conference will be held 30-31
March 2006 at the University of Lapland. The conference will offer a
forum for examining issues of periphery and center from a
multidisciplinary perspective. Among the topics to be explored at the
conference are the Northern Dimension, the relationship between Russia
and Europe, internal peripheries in Russia, and the semiotic systems of
networking and culture.
The conference will include panel discussions on the following topics:

- Formal and informal rules
- Ex-files at Soviet Times
- Psyco-social well being of youth and children in the Arctic
