The Fifth International Conference on Stickleback Behavior and Evolution
will be held 30 July-4 August 2006 on the campus of the University of
Alaska Anchorage.
The conference will include four days of non-concurrent technical
sessions that are expected to cover the breadth of research on
stickleback behavior, ecology, and evolution. With the recent emergence
of stickleback as a model for genomics and the evolution of
developmental processes, this year's meeting will be even more
integrative than previous stickleback conferences.
Organizers hope to attract researchers in all areas of stickleback
biology, as well as those working on other biological systems to study
problems that are well represented in the body of stickleback research.
The conference will include plenary lectures, non-concurrent oral
sessions, poster sessions, breakout special interest sessions on the
future of stickleback research, and a field trip to local stickleback
habitats and surrounding mountains.
