An NSF-supported technical workshop, "Development of a Concept Design
for a Seafloor Cabled Observatory on the Beaufort Shelf, Alaska", will
be held at the Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute on 16-18
November 2005. Participants from academic institutions, U.S. Federal
agencies, and Corporations with an interest in the North Slope and its'
environment are welcome.
Based on the science and community input stimulated by the meeting in
Barrow in February 2004 and drawing heavily from other cabled
observatory efforts, participants in this workshop will draft a concept
design document for a Beaufort Shelf Cabled Observatory.
