Full-time Faculty Position in Environmental and Outdoor Studies

Alaska Pacific University (APU) is pleased to announce a visiting,
full-time faculty position in Environmental and Outdoor Studies
directing the new Master of Science in Outdoor and Environmental
Education, which is a 36 credit graduate degree program that takes full
advantage of APU's unique block and session format. Qualifications and
instructional responsibilities fall into three broad categories:
(1) developing and directing the Master of Science in Outdoor and
Environmental Education degree program;
(2) instruction in graduate and undergraduate classes in outdoor and
environmental education; and
(3) managing and developing APU's Kellogg Campus as a center for outdoor
and experiential education.
The position's responsibilities also include advising students in the
graduate program and serving on university committees. A master's degree
is required and a terminal degree preferred but not required if the
applicant possesses a strong teaching background. Interested candidates
should send a letter of interest outlining their fit to APU's mission
and the position requirements, their curriculum vitae, copies of
graduate transcripts, three letters of recommendation, and three names
