Peer-reviewed papers on arctic and ice technology and new pipeline
materials and welding will be presented at the First (2005) ISOPE
Advanced Natural Gas Transport (ANGT-2005) Symposium. The ANGT-2005
Symposium will held during the 15th International Offshore and Polar
Engineering Conference & Exhibition (ISOPE-2005 Seoul) at the COEX
Convention Center in Seoul on 19-24 June 2005.
Among other highly anticipated papers presented among 93 sessions are:
- Siberia-Far East Pipeline. In December 2004, Russia approved the
building of the East Siberia-Pacific pipeline. Annual capacity is
projected to reach 80 million tons and the estimated cost could reach
$12 billion.
- Sakhalin II energy development. LNG facilities and marketing will be
presented by Sakhalin Energy Investment Co.
- North Sea Pipelines: Pushing the Technology Front. Statoil will
present special topics on advanced technology combined with low cost,
high reliability, and even tougher service conditions.
