The Prince William Sound Oil Spill Recovery Institute (OSRI), the
Coastal Response and Research Center (CRRC), and the Cooperative
Institute for Coastal and Estuarine Environmental Technology (CICEET)
are inviting preliminary proposals for project funding consideration.
OSRI, CRRC, and CICEET are collaborating in this effort to conduct
research and development on new technologies for responding to oil
spills in cold climate coastal marine areas and the Great Lakes. Areas
of interest for this request for proposals include:
- Exposure and Injury Assessment Tools
- Data Development: Processes and Rates Affecting Oil
- Human Use Valuation of Ecosystems
- Habitat Recovery and Restoration Technologies
- Oil Recovery and Spread Prevention
Preliminary Proposals Due: Friday, 1 October 2004 (4:00 pm ET)
Invitation for Full Proposal: Friday, 22 October 2004
Full Proposal Due: Friday, 3 December 2004
