Kawerak, Inc. invites the Arctic Community to use its resources created
by their Social Sciences Program. The Social Science Program documents
local and traditional knowledge on a variety of topics and provides
recommendations and information regarding policy and management of
natural resources based on local research and documentation.

The Kawerak Social Science Program resources are available for download.

Kawerak is a regional non-profit organization formed under the Bering
Straits Native Association. Kawerak contracts with the state and federal
government to provide services to residents of the Bering Strait Region,
75% of whom are Eskimo, Aleut, or American Indian descent. Kawerak's
organizational goal is to assist Alaska Native people and their
governing bodies to take control of their future. With programs ranging
from education to transportation, and natural resource management to
economic development, Kawerak seeks to improve the Region's social,
economic, educational, cultural and political conditions.
