International Journal of Circumpolar Health
Sexual and Reproductive Health Promotion in the Circumpolar North

Editors of the International Journal of Circumpolar Health announce a
call for papers to submit to their special issue regarding Sexual and
Reproductive Health Promotion in the Circumpolar North.

This special issues aims to present the current social science research
and program activities that address sexual and reproductive health in
the Arctic, with an emphasis on indigenous health. Editors encourage
original research studies and projects that contribute evidence across
the spectrum of issues related to sexual and reproductive health in the
Arctic. The editors welcome research studies and program reviews across
disciplines, including implementation research and community-driven
research, as well as in-depth analysis and reviews on various topics
that impact sexual and reproductive health in the Arctic. Commentary and
opinion pieces are also welcome.

Papers submitted to this special issue should aim to address the
following areas:

-Innovative curricula, interventions and educational programs
implemented in arctic environments;
-Improving access to sexual and reproductive health care services in
arctic communities;
-Efforts to address the social, individual, psychological, environmental
and cultural variables affecting sexual and reproductive health in the
Arctic;
-Research ethics, challenges and lessons learned of addressing sensitive
topics such as sexual and reproductive health in arctic environments;
-Social science research and programmatic science partnerships and
collaborations on sexual and reproductive health between the circumpolar
countries; and
-Indigenous perspectives on sexual and reproductive health opportunities.

Advances in Polar Science
Polar Sciences

Editors of the journal Advances in Polar Science announce a call for
papers.

Advances in Polar Science (APS) is a peer-reviewed English-language
journal dedicated to the presentation of multi-disciplinary achievements
in Arctic and Antarctic research. APS is an open-access journal, funded
by the Polar Research Institute of China. It has no publication fees
and all articles are freely accessible on the web as soon as they are
released, with an additional 500 printed copies distributed
internationally. The journal is managed by an Editorial Board of both
Chinese and international disciplinary editors.

Editors are soliciting papers on relevant polar research topics for APS
Vol. 27 No. 2 to be published around June 2016 (or a bit later of 2016).
APS accepts four types of manuscripts:

-Reviews: Summarizing results and achievements in a particular topic or
an area, commenting on the current situation, and advising on research
directions.
-Articles: Reporting important original results in any area
of polar science.
-Letters: Briefly presenting novel and innovative
findings related to polar science.
-Trends: Reporting important scientific news, information, and academic
affairs, as well as major international programs in all areas of polar
science.
