  1. Second Call for Proposals
    HYDRALAB Plus

HYDRALAB is a network of research institutes with world leading
hydraulic and hydrodynamic experimental facilities. The HYDRALAB Plus
project is funded by the European Commission through the Horizon2020
program to strengthen the coherence of experimental hydraulic and
hydrodynamic research by improving the infrastructures with a focus on
adaptation to climate change issues.

For the full call for proposal text including contact information, go
to: http://hydralab.eu/taking-part/call-for-proposals/.

Proposals are reviewed by a User Selection Panel of which the outcome is
expected to be known on 31 March 2017. The primary criterion for
selection is the scientific merit. Secondary criteria are used to
encourage the participation of first-time users, active female
participation, trans-national research teams, interaction with the host
institute, and contribution to our research focus of adaptation to
climate change.

Application Deadline: 2 December 2016.
Proposals received after this date cannot be considered.

  1. Request for Proposals
    North Pacific Research Board

The North Pacific Research Board announces the 2017 Request for
Proposals (RFP). The 2017 RFP has an anticipated funding amount of $4.55
million. This RFP is similar in form and content to past NPRB RFPs, with
research categories structured around the 2005 NPRB Science Plan.

Applicants are encouraged to consult the 2017 RFP for further details on
research priorities for this year. To view, go to:

  1. Request for Proposals
    Arctic Domain Awareness Center

The Arctic Domain Awareness Center (ADAC) announces a request for
proposals and is accepting applications through Friday, 14 October.

This Request for Proposals (RFP) responds to an Arctic "Incidents of
National Significance" (Arctic IoNS) workshop hosted by ADAC in
Anchorage June 21+22 2016. The purpose of the workshop was to present
current research and determine technology shortfalls associated with
U.S. and Canada Coast Guard-discerned areas of concern, in responding to
a disabled cruise ship in Arctic waters.

This RFP call is being issued to a wide audience and solicits proposals
that will focus on interdisciplinary research, education and technology
development in the areas of the Arctic domain. ADAC seeks to address a
number of research questions related to the themes of domain awareness,
maritime technology research, product transition and education outreach
that might interest the public and relevant international, federal,
state and local agencies.

Interested applicants must review the IoNS Rapporteurs Report
before responding to this RFP.

The IoNS report and full details of the RFP are posted to
http://adac.uaa.alaska.edu/home/ions.

Application Deadline: 14 October 2016.
