The Interagency Arctic Research Policy Committee (IARPC) announces the
release of their Arctic Research Plan 2017-2021 and new IARPC
collaboration teams that will implement this plan.
Nine collaboration teams are now launching and are open to participation
by anyone in the community.
The collaboration teams include:
- Health and Well-being,
- Atmosphere,
- Sea Ice,
- Marine Ecosystems,
- Glaciers and Sea Level,
- Permafrost,
- Terrestrial Ecosystems,
- Coastal Resilience, and
- Environmental Intelligence (observations, data, models).
IARPC will continue to involve the broader Arctic research community
through IARPC Collaborations. This platform allows IARPC to engage with
all available research talent, such as the federal government, academic
scientists, researchers, other stakeholders in the state of Alaska,
Alaska natives, non-governmental organizations, the private sector, and
overseas researchers and institutions.
IARPC encourages anyone who is interested in joining their community of
Arctic researchers and stakeholders to request an account through their
website.
