Editors announces a special issue of Geosciences titled, "Cryosphere."
This special issue aims to present the diversity within the field and
state-of-the-art research on paleo-glaciations, glaciers, ice sheets,
permafrost, sea ice, and snow cover. This issue will be coordinated by
guest editor Ulrich Kamp from the University of Montana.

In this special issue editors strive to present a wide range of regional
studies and methodological approaches such as laboratory experiments,
field measurements and observations, numerical modeling, and remote
sensing. Research articles, review articles, and communications are
invited.

Contributions on the interactions between the cryosphere and other
elements of the geosystem (e.g., atmosphere, biosphere, hydrosphere, and
lithosphere) are of particular interest, as are applied aspects related
to the cryosphere, including natural hazards, hydropower, water
resources, and artificial glaciation. This special issue also welcomes
new insights into the cryospheres of other planets.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be
under consideration for publication elsewhere, except conference
proceedings papers, and must be submitted online. All manuscripts are
refereed through a peer-review process.

Papers will be published as soon as they are accepted and will be listed
together on the special issue website. For planned papers, a title and
short abstract of approximately 100 words can be sent to the Geosciences
editorial office for announcement on their website.
