Organizers announces a call for applications to attend the Polar Science
Communication Workshop. This workshop will include two days of oral
communication training and one day of written communication training.
The workshop is run through a collaboration between International
Glaciological Society (IGS), the Association of Polar Early Career
Scientists (APECS), and U.S. APECS, and will take place immediately
prior to the IGS International Symposium, "Polar Ice, Polar Climate,
Polar Change." Workshop participants do not need to attend the IGS
symposium in order to participate in the science communication workshop.
This workshop is open to polar scientists from all career stages and
spanning all disciplines in the physical, biological, and social
sciences. Space is limited with some spaces reserved for early career
researchers. Participants must attend the whole workshop and participate
in post-workshop follow up surveys and assignments.
Travel funding is available for some early career researchers. Request
travel funding via the online application form.
