The organizing committee invites early bird registration for the 4th
biennial 2017 Arctic Energy Summit. This Summit will convene 18-20
September 2017 in Helsinki, Finland.
This Summit is a multi-disciplinary event open to industry officials,
policy makers, energy professionals, academics, and community leaders to
collaborate on and share leading approaches to Arctic energy issues.
The 2017 Summit will address energy in the Arctic as it relates to the
following:
- Small and off-grid community energy solutions,
- Oil and gas development,
- Renewable energy and energy efficiency,
- Regulation and financing, and
- Transportation and transmission.
The final product from the Summit will be a report to the Arctic
Council's Sustainable Development Working Group highlighting best
practices and lessons learned, strategic pathways for sustainable
development related to energy, pilot projects, and research gaps.
