The Arctic Research Consortium of the U.S. (ARCUS) invites attendance at the Celebrate the Arctic networking event. This event will convene Monday, 18 June 2018 from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. Central European Time at the Hard Rock Hotel Davos in Davos, Switzerland.
ARCUS has invited partners at the International Arctic Science Committee, National Academy of Sciences' Polar Research Board, Forum of Arctic Research Operators, European Polar Board, and Association of Polar Early Career Scientists to co-host a casual evening of informal networking to highlight successes of the Arctic research community. There is no cost to attend this event.
Organizers and co-hosts hope that attendees will use this opportunity to make new connections that can lead to new friendships and research collaborations. ARCUS' Executive Director, Bob Rich; Board President, Audrey Taylor; Community Development Manager, Alex Thornton; Project Manager, Janet Warburton; and other Board members look forward to meeting with attendees at the Hard Rock Hotel, a one-kilometer walk from the conference center (free public transportation provided with conference registration).
Light catering, including vegan and gluten-free options, will be served and a cash bar will be available. At 7:30 p.m., representatives from ARCUS and co-hosting organizations will introduce free, easy ways to win fantastic door prizes.
This venue is accessible for many disabilities, but please contact Alex Thornton (alex [at] arcus.org) if any additional assistance is required so that appropriate accommodations can be made.
