The Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory of Columbia University invites applications for a postdoctoral research scientist position in polar geophysics. This full-time, one-year position, with continuation pending funding and progress, will be located in Palisades, New York.
This postdoctoral position will be actively involved in the analysis and interpretation of the ROSETTA-Ice program working with gravity and magnetics to constrain the grounding line dynamics as well as working on the strap-down gravity meter data to work towards developing a drone capable instrument. This position will join a group working on problems including ice dynamics, ice shelf stability, and bathymetry from gravity.
The successful candidate will have a PhD in geophysics, glaciology, geodesy, engineering, or a related field. Candidates with interest in both ice sheet processes and geodynamics are encouraged to apply.
