The University of Oulu invites applications for five faculty positions within their Arctic Interactions (ArcI) tenure track program. These full-time positions will be located in Oulu, Finland.
The University invites candidates from various scientific fields, including hydrology, ecology, biology, geography, geology, paleoclimatology, environmental sciences, environmental engineering, architecture, social sciences, archaeology, and cultural studies.
The ArcI tenure track program includes five recruitment packages of a tenured principal investigator and a start-up package for hiring a postdoctoral fellow and a PhD student.
The University of Oulu seeks to fill positions in the following five areas:
- Earth system sciences, ecohydrology and human societal resiliency;
- Biodiversity change and ecosystem health;
- Resource management in Arctic environment;
- Cultural histories and Traditional Knowledge of resource use; and
- Arctic architecture and environmental adaptation.
