Bigelow Laboratory for Ocean Sciences invites applications for Senior Research Scientists in oceanography. These permanent, full-time positions will be located in East Boothbay, Maine.
Candidates specializing in the research areas of the ocean’s genetic potential, ocean-climate interactions, and/or the foundation of ocean food webs are encouraged to apply.
Minimum requirements include a PhD degree in a relevant field. Candidates at all levels of their career progression will be considered. Strong candidates will have demonstrated capability to acquire external funding and lead scientific programs appropriate to their career stage. Candidates who will bring to their research the perspective that comes from a nontraditional educational background or understanding of the experiences of those underrepresented in higher education are encouraged to apply. Dual-career applicants are welcome.
