The University of Alaska Fairbanks and the National Weather Service invite participation at two upcoming events, Arctic research flash talks and an Arctic research scavenger hunt.
The flash talks will be held virtually via Facebook or Zoom on 20 May 2021 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. AKDT. Flash talks are short presentations by scientists and students about unique and interesting research in climate science, geoscience, fisheries, social science, and more.
The Arctic research-themed scavenger hunt is an all-ages, all-abilities, outdoor event on the University of Alaska Fairbanks campus in Fairbanks, Alaska. The event is self-led from 20-23 May 2021 and is designed to get participants outside to explore the campus and uncover facts about Arctic research. A map of riddle locations and parking areas will be available prior to the event.
