The Caleb Scholars Program is accepting applications for the Fall 2021 semester. The Caleb Scholars Program is a fellowship program for undergraduate and graduate students that focuses on Inuit-led conservation advocacy.
There are several ways the Program support its scholars. These include a $5,000 scholarship per semester, curated mentorship matches for each individual, access to travel grants and extracurricular grants each semester, cohort support, and more.
Eligibility requirements include:
- Alaskan Inuit heritage from the CSP service area (i.e., enrolled as a tribal member, or a direct descendant, of a tribe from the Norton Sound region, Northwest Arctic region, or Arctic Slope region); and
- Currently enrolled at an accredited university or college.
For undergraduates, requirements also include:
- At least 36 credit hours completed,
- Full-time status, and
- Minimum cumulative and current grade point average (GPA) of at least 2.5.
For graduate students, requirements also include:
- Full-time status, and
- Minimum cumulative and current GPA of at least 3.0.
Applications must include:
- A completed New Application online form (tinyurl.com/CSPnewapp),
- Responses to all short answer and essay questions,
- A copy of current unofficial transcripts,
- Class registration for the upcoming semester that shows full-time status, and
- One letter of recommendation.
