The Department of Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences (AOS) at the University of Wisconsin-Madison (UW-Madison) invites applications for up to two graduate student positions in ice and climate physics. These full-time positions will be located in Madison, Wisconsin.
Successful applicants will be involved in research projects related to one or several of the following topics: recent sea ice changes; high-latitude climate tipping points; the decay and climate impact of icebergs; ice-ocean interactions; and calving at tidewater glaciers and ice shelves. More information on the research can be found online.
Strong undergraduate mathematical skills are desirable.
