The International Arctic Research Center (IARC) at the University of Alaska Fairbanks (UAF) invites applications for a project coordinator. This full-time, permanent position will be located in Fairbanks, Alaska.
IARC is seeking support to help coordinate and track Arctic research activities across different research teams engaged at the forefront of Arctic science. Applicants should enjoy facilitating and communicating across teams and projects, be task-oriented, and an effective writer. The successful candidate will be maintaining the RNA CoObs website by writing and submitting annual and other reports, supporting a team of Indigenous liaisons and task teams focused on achieving greater equity in Arctic observing, maintaining and growing a network from the local to the pan-Arctic scale, and advancing observing system design and implementation.
Position requirements include a Master's degree and two to three years of progressive research experience at a postgraduate level in a field relevant to the research (e.g., science, public relations, journalism, communications, sociology, political science, economics, etc.), or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
