This workshop will be run by Christine M. Hunter (Assistant Professor of Wildlife Ecology, University of Alaska Fairbanks) and Jean-Dominique Lebreton (Director of Research at CNRS, Montpellier, France). The workshop will discuss field population dynamics and matrix population modeling. It is aimed primarily at quantitative ecologists and population biologists--participants are expected to have a general interest in quantitative approaches, familiarity with basic mechanisms in population dynamics (life cycle, fecundity and mortality/survival processes), knowledge of basic calculus, and basic matrix algebra.
The registration fee is $500.00 for general participants, and $250.00 for students. Participation is capped at 25 seats, and will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis.
